This was a busy week for the kids. Unfortunately, I missed 3 days however, the substitutes left great reports. The students continue writing lab reports and conducting experiments. I was really impressed with their final lab report on Swimming Raisins. The students wanted to know what would happen if you put raisins in sparkling water. Please read their lab reports on Seesaw.
In addition, the students finalized the class Black History Project on Tyler Perry. They learned about other courageous African Americans including Denzel Washington, Chad Boseman, Sam Cook, and Muhammad Ali. Ask your child who did they enjoy learning about this week.
Shout out to Piper and Daniel! They were the only two students that earned stars for IREADY Math his week. Remember each week students must spend at least 45 minutes and score at least 80% or higher on all the lessons in reading and math. The students are performing well in reading however, I would like for them to perform a lot better in math.
Next week is Read Across America (March 2nd) and we will have visitors reading to the class. Also, the students will present their Science Projects on Wednesday. Ask your child about their project. If you have any questions or concerns please email me.
